What Happens in Pre-Production

A plain-English guide to the week before capture — brand identity, storyboards, and logistics — so you know exactly what to expect.

The most cinematic thing we do happens before a camera comes out of the case. Here’s what the pre-production week looks like when you produce a video with Full Bars Media.

1. Brand Identity

We discover the real reason someone would buy into your property, then craft buyer personas around it. Every creative choice downstream — talent, wardrobe, music, pacing — answers to this document.

2. Storyboard

We script the story with your buyer as the lead character. You’ll review a scene-by-scene storyboard: what we capture, where, at what time of day, and why it matters to the persona.

3. Logistics

We handle equipment, talent, permits, and scheduling. You get one call sheet with everything on it: arrival times, access requirements, and the shot windows we’ve planned around light.

What we need from you

  • Access confirmed for every space on the storyboard
  • A point of contact reachable on shoot day
  • Any brand assets (logos, fonts, past campaigns) you want the edit to honor

From there, capture day runs itself — that’s the point of pre-production.
